Meagan Harvey

Meagan has been practicing structural engineering since being an undergraduate student at UBC. She has extensive experience in residential and commercial construction with wood, steel, and concrete. 

She has been the Chair of the Okanagan Branch of the Structural Engineers Association of BC since 2012 by actively promoting engineering knowledge in the engineering community and with contractors. 

Meagan previously worked with her father's company, Mike's Handyman Services, doing small residential project renovation and design-builds.

Blake Bjornson B.A.Sc.

Blake grew up in Kelowna and after graduating from UBC, started his career with a consulting firm in Vancouver. After an extended break, travelling the world and working on passion projects, he was drawn back to structural engineering and started with Mercury in 2021. Since then, his focus has been on residential construction and continuing his education with SEABC.

Humanous Drafterus

Drafters are well dressed for the office. These creatures can be startled easily and frequently mimic the behaviour of the Whitetail Deer (Odocoileus Virginianus) that awkwardly stares into the headlights of oncoming vehicles before leaping away to safety.

Diet:

Coffee and Jelly Bellys

Range and Habitat: 

Lives in the office and occasionally goes outdoors to observe real-life renderings of pictures. 

Behaviour: 

Prepares technical drawings using cunning and know-how by deciphering the chicken scratch of math wizards.

Zach is working on his Master's degree in civil engineering at UBC Okanagan. He is local to Kelowna and has many years of experience working in residential and commercial construction.

Zach previously completed a co-op term with Wildstone Construction Group in project management.

Kevin Gourlay

Kevin Gourlay

Kevin is a Kelowna local and has been working with contractors for over 13 years.  

He is involved with community volunteering and spends lots of time with his three kids. 

Kevin is a trained commercial diver and has a certificate in bookkeeping from Okanagan College.

Alex grew up in Kelowna and after a stint in Alberta and 5 years in Vancouver, she has returned to the Okanagan. With extensive administration experience, primarily in the general construction industry, she brings a unique enthusiasm to office functionality.

 

Alex will continue studies at Okanagan College to further her education in accounting and english.
